Heather Thomson is the woman behind the successful Yummie by Heather Thomson brand and now the newest cast member of BRAVO’s successful “REAL HOUSEWIVES OF NEW YORK CITY” franchise. The upcoming fifth season of RHONY follows Heather along with her cast mates as they juggle family, careers and an ever entertaining social life. Heather’s vision is backed by over 15 years as a successful designer and stylist who has worked with some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry. She was founding Design Director for the Sean “Diddy” Combs line and is credited as a major force behind multiple CFDA award nominations. She also worked alongside superstars Beyoncé Knowles and Jennifer Lopez to create and launch their respective labels. These groundbreaking collaborations and Yummie by Heather Thomson are all bound by Heather’s passion for innovation coupled with her sense for knowing what works and what doesn’t. The idea for Yummie was born shortly after Heather had her children. Disappointed by the shapewear products that existed, she set out to create something sexier, comfier and, well, “yummier.” She came up with the patented 3-panel system that is now Yummie Tummie’s signature – and nothing was ever the same. In addition to her work as the Founder/ Chief Creative Officer of Yummie by Heather Thomson, Heather is a valued advocate for multiple philanthropic organizations. She is a Cause Celebrity for Organ Donation and deeply involved in supporting the public education efforts of the New York Organ Donor Network. As a board member of the Kellner Pediatric Liver Foundation, Heather works to reduce the incidence of pediatric liver disease by raising funds and awareness for the foundation. Having personally experienced the impact of these advocacies with her son, she makes every effort to promote and support their initiatives both locally and nationwide. Most recently, Heather was honored with the City of Hope’s annual 2010 Spirit of Life Award recognizing her tireless efforts to promote power and self-confidence in women of all ages around the world.
